KYLE HIGGINS - ..., 20 July 2015 [cached]
Kyle Higgins, born June 12, 1985, is a New York Times Best Selling writer (Batman: Gates of Gotham) and graduate of Chapman University's Film Production program. Originally from Homer Glen, IL, at the age of seven Kyle discovered the 1978 version of Superman. The movie first introduced Kyle to two of his biggest passions: filmmaking and comic books. With his fascination for superheroes fueling his love of cinema, Kyle began to pursue a career in directing at a very early age.
After two years of studying film and creative writing at the University of Iowa, Kyle transferred to Chapman University in Orange, CA. In the fall of 2006, Kyle took on an internship with The Donners' Company. The unpaid position provided Kyle an opportunity to work for Director Richard Donner, the man responsible for the film that introduced Kyle to cinema. The film opened many doors, including Marvel and DC Comics, and after a series of one shots with Alec, Kyle co-created The Nightrunner (DC) with David Hine and launched two miniseries in the spring of 2011: Supreme Power (Marvel) and Batman: Gates of Gotham (DC).
Kyle is currently writing Nightwing for DC, and is represented by Geoff Morley at UTA.
During the summer of 2006, Alec and Kyle Higgins began discussing an idea for a "superhero murder mystery.
A recent DePaul University graduate, Joe first worked with Kyle Higgins in high school on a Kentucky Fried Chicken spec commercial, though they most recently collaborated on Higgins' 2007 short Insight.

Kyle Higgins
Kyle Higgins Kyle Higgins was the writer and director of The League, a film about a superhero labor union in 1960's Chicago that was made as his college thesis.
In 2010, Higgins began writing for DC Comics. He wrote back-up features for the two-part story by David Hine, taking place in Batman Annual and Detective Comics Annual, that introduced the Batman, Incorporated character of Nightrunner. Higgins' story fleshed out the character's background and the events immediately following the main story. Due to the controversy over Nightrunner being a Muslim, these two issues received significant media attention.
Higgins then teamed with fellow new writer Scott Snyder for the 2011 limited series Batman: Gates of Gotham.
Snyder plotted the series while Higgins wrote the scripts, and the series was illustrated by Trevor McCarthy.
Briefly, Higgins did some more work for Marvel Comics, namely Supreme Power, a limited series for Marvel's MAX imprint. Batman Beyond 2.0, written by Kyle Higgins Higgins' first ongoing work came as part of the 2011 relaunch of DC's entire line of comics following the Flashpoint event. He became the writer of the new series Nightwing, which saw Dick Grayson return to his former identity after being Batman, and Deathstroke, a solo series featuring the infamous villain.
Higgins has also written the digital-first Batman Beyond 2.0 beginning in September 2013, being collected in Batman Beyond Universe and is currently apart of the writing team in the weekly Batman Eternal series. Kyle Joins us work and Health commitments pending.
