2013 Interfaith Holocaust Commemoration to Address "The Kindertransports" | Tulsa City-County Library

Kurt and Margaret Goldberger, child survivors of the Kindertransports, will share their personal stories of the Kindertransports at Tulsa's 16th annual Interfaith Holocaust Commemoration on Thursday, April 11 at 7 p.m. at Congregation B'nai Emunah, 17th Street and Peoria Avenue.
Born in Vienna, Austria, Kurt Goldberger emigrated to England on a Kindertransport in 1939 when he was almost 14. Kurt served as past president of The Kindertransport Association of North America from 1999-2012, and currently serves as vice president of the World Federation of Jewish Child Survivors of the Holocaust.

Among the attendees were: the present and past Chief Rabbis of the United Kingdom, Bertha Leverton, Founder of the RoK, Bea Green, Kurt Goldberger, President of KTA, Kurt Fuchel, Past-President, Nicholas Winton who saved 600 Czech children, and a number of dignitaries and representatives of Jewish organizations in England.
