After a degree in business from the University of Bangkok, Maksirisombat earned an undergraduate degree and Master's degrees in personnel and guidance and in special education from Montana State University at Billings.He holds a variety of awards in teaching, and attended the University of Washington on a National Endowment for the Humanities scholarship in1989.
