As a Program Officer of the Cleveland Foundation, Kristi helps a wide variety of nonprofit organizations assess their goals and navigate the community responsive grant application process. A licensed independent social worker supervisor, Kristi previously worked with Cleveland Metropolitan School District's Office of Family and Community Engagement and served multiple roles at Goodrich-Gannett Neighborhood Center in Cleveland, including Associate Director. Since joining the Foundation in 2012, Kristi has worked closely with the LGBT community to mobilize resources and strengthen community infrastructures to prepare for the 2014 Gay Games and improve the well-being of Greater Cleveland's LGBT residents. In 2015, Kristi became the inaugural recipient of the Michael G. Shinn Award for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Philanthropy. She currently serves on Philanthropy Ohio's Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee. Kristi earned a bachelor's degree from Kent State University in human development and family studies with a minor in sociology and additional studies in family life education and nonprofit management and development. She received a Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University, and is currently concentrating in the area of urban policy development as a doctoral student at Cleveland State University.
