My party is original â€˜janhit', claims ex-minister Punia
Gurgaon : Bureaucrat-turned-politician and former Haryana minister Dr Kripa Ram Punia
, who has recently floated the Rashtriya Janhit Party, has stated that his
party was the "original" Janhit party, while the leadership of Haryana Janhit Congress
(BL) had used their name.
Replying to a specific query while addressing a press conference here today, Dr Punia asserted that he had formed the Janhit Morcha in 1989 and Janhit Sewa Sangathan in 1993.
"Our Janhit Morcha
was even registered as a political party and we contested the 1996 poll on its behalf," the former minister said, adding that their Janhit Morcha had now been renamed and registered with the Central Election Commission
