Kitty was the first educator to launch into the arena of educating gestational diabetics at Nashville General Hospital in the early 80's.
Since that time she
has helped hundreds if not thousands of Nashville's resource deprived population with the challenges of diabetes and pregnancy.
This role involves overcoming barriers as clients are unable to afford or access the ideal treatment options.
She has continually been a strong advocate for this population.
has also been personally impacted by diabetes as one of her
twin daughters was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of three.
