...Kira Hurst in the Activities OfficeAfter serving Fountain Valley for twenty years, one-time choir director and Vice Principal of Activities, Ted Reid, will be passing on the keys of VP of Activities to FVHS Spanish teacher Kira Hurst.
...Hurst has spent the last four years enlightening Barons as a Spanish I teacher.Having received a BA and MA in education administration, she will coordinate all student-centered activities, including pep rallies, dances, student organizations, and transportation for sports teams for FVHS.

responsibilities are to ensure that all student activities function according to the law.
Since 1991, Hurst
has taught a variety of subjects, ranging from social studies to street law at schools as far away as Korea, Guam and Great Britain. Her
international teaching experience stems from a fascinating childhood abroad.Because her
parents were educators for the US Department of Defense
childhood in places like Japan , Germany and Taiwan.
Outside of teaching, Hurst 's interests and hobbies vary.A former Junior Olympics swimming champion, she is involved in Hapkido, a form of martial arts, in which she currently holds a second degree black belt.
