Kimberly B. Walker - Analyst (Energy and Technology)
Mr. Walker comes to Summit with a broad experience in the fields of technology, telecommunications and Energy.
In the 1980's Mr. Walker began his business career when he founded Heaven Sent Satellite Systems, a retailer of home satellite entertainment systems.
Mr. Walker later founded Sat-Tel Corporation to develop advanced products and services in the field of satellite and wireless communication.
from a small satellite TV, phone, and data provider to a company specializing in satellite and wireless technologies.
Under Mr. Walker's
became a key player in industrial monitoring applications and also came to be known as Canada's first Internet compression service provider, focused on both wireless and satellite applications.
went public in 1999 with a listing on the TSX Venture Exchange
(TSX: SAT) and it later merged with IROC Energy Services
(TSX: IRC) in 2002.
Mr. Walker remained with IROC where he operated the company's S.M.A.R.T division providing real-time remote field sensing systems for environmental compliance in the energy sector.
After leaving IROC in 2007 Mr. Walker pursued various energy and technology ventures across Alberta and Africa where he has worked on several large civil engineering and energy projects.
