Kim Pitman has been the Executive Director of the Greenville Humane Society since December 2007. Prior to joining the humane society, she was Vice President of Marketing for GE Financial in Richmond, Virginia, managing the marketing department for a $3 Billion division with 150 employees.
Kim is a graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Business and Economics. At R-MWC, Kim served as Student Body President. Kim grew up in Spartanburg, SC and graduated from Spartanburg High School.
When Kim is not hanging out with the 200 animals who call the Greenville Humane Society home, she enjoys working in her vegetable garden and exploring the beautiful state parks with her dogs Grady, Hitch and Scout who were all adopted from the Greenville Humane Society.

Kim Pitman has been the Executive Director of the Greenville Humane Society Since December 2007. Prior to joining the humane society, she was Vice President of Marketing for GE Financial in Richmond, VA. Earlier in her career, Kim held numerous marketing and PR positions including ones at SunTrust Bank and Washington & Lee University. Kim is a 1983 graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College (RMWC) where she served as Student Body President.
A graduate of Spartanburg High School, Kim has been active in the Greenville community since moving back in 2005. She has served as an Elder and Deacon at Fourth Presbyterian Church and on various parents' committees at Christ Church Episcopal School.
When Kim is not hanging out with the 150 animals who call the Greenville Humane Society home, she enjoys walking and boating with her dogs Grady and Hitch who were both adopted from the Greenville Humane Society.
