Kim Malcolm, Executive Director
Kim joined CESC as its executive director in May 2008 following more than 20 years at the California Public Utilities Commission where she held positions including Chief of Staff, administrative law judge and Chief Administrative Officer.
has focused her
efforts at CESC
on improving and expanding CESC
's services, building community partnerships and organizational development.
Kim as served on several non-profit boards, including the Multicultural Institute, Foundation for Sustainable Development, Berkeley Food and Housing Project, Pact, an Adoption Alliance and the Civic Center Childcare Corporation.
She served as Vice Chair of GSPP's Alumni Association from 2001-2003.
Kim has taught graduate level courses in telecommunications regulation and transportation logistics at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, has lead numerous trainings on technical writing and decision-making processes, and mediated regulatory and contract disputes.
Malcolm has a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of California at Davis and a Master of Public Policy from the Goldman School of Public Policy at University of California at Berkeley.
