Chip Centre of Excellence
As the Vice President of Product Management for the MasterCard Chip Centre of Excellence, Kim Hangoc is responsible for supporting MasterCard customers in the Latin America and Caribbean region in their migration to chip technology.
In this role, Kim
also manages the relationship between the MasterCard Chip Centre of Excellence
in Waterloo, Belgium and the MasterCard Latin America and Caribbean region.
has been a key collaborator in successful massive chip migrations and launches in Brazil and Mexico - including the launch of MasterCard PayPass
in Monterrey, Mexico in 2006.
Kim began his career in 1998 at Bull Smart Cards and Terminals in France.
After six months, he
was transferred to the Mexico office managing marketing for banking products.
worked on several smart card projects including the launch of the Mexican Proton e-purse.
After the acquisition of Bull CP8 by Schlumberger in 2001, he continued working as Marketing Manager in the banking department, helping issuers migrate to EMV standards.
By the end of 2003, Kim was transferred to the Schlumberger (renamed Axalto) office in the city São Paulo, Brazil where he lived for two years working as Field Marketing Manager for Banking and Access Products.
has actively participated in successful EMV migrations as well as collaborated in projects in the transportation, access and government sectors giving him a broader comprehension of the smart cards technology and benefits.
Kim has a degree from ESC Montpellier - France (Graduate School of Management) and a Masters Degree in Marketing & Strategy from Université Paris-IX Dauphine.
A native from France, Kim
currently resides in Miami Florida.
