Selected as Christiansburg High School

On Thursday night Kevin Siers, Ed.D., was appointed principal at Christiansburg High School by the Montgomery County School Board.
While superintendent at Monroe County Schools in West Virginia, Siers initiated a dropout prevention program that resulted in a 94% reduction in dropouts during the first year of implementation.

, the school reached and maintained many academic goals including accreditation from the state, Adequate Yearly Progress, and accreditation from Advanced Ed.

Siers received his doctorate in educational leadership and policy studies from Virginia Tech in 2010.
Most recently he served as the superintendent for Monroe County Schools in Union, West Virginia.
