Kevin Schultz (Head Coach) Kevin is a 1998 graduate of Tri-Valley High School in Downs, Illinois. He was the shooting guard for the 23-6 (a school record for wins at the time) Viking basketball team that finished 1st in the Sangamon Valley Conference, won the McLean County Tournament Championship, and lost in the Regional Championship to #4 state-ranked University High School. Kevin was named to the Sangamon Valley Conference All-Star team his senior year.

Kevin continued his education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education and an endorsement in Middle School Education. While at SIUC, he was an assistant varsity basketball coach at Carterville High School, helping coach the team to the best record in school history. Kevin graduated from SIUC in May of 2002.
After college, Kevin accepted a position as a middle school English teacher in Sullivan, Missouri where he coached high school football and middle school basketball for 3 years. He accepted a position at Marquette High School in June of 2005 teaching 10th and 11th grade Language Arts. Kevin began coaching basketball for Marquette High School in the 2006-2007 season and joined the football and baseball staff the season prior to that.
Kevin was named the Varsity Head Basketball Coach in 2013.
Kevin, wife Laurie, daughter Adison (4) and sons Brody (3) and Blake (newborn) reside in O'Fallon.

Marquette athletic director Todd Hopkins confirmed that Kevin Schultz had been dismissed as boys basketball coach, but Hopkins was not able to elaborate.

Schultz has been the Marquette boys basketball coach for the past six years. He went 84-86 during his six-year tenure with a regional championship at Tri-County Tournament championship in 2005-06.
Schultz said he was told of Marquette's decision Thursday.
The Crusaders went 27-56 the next three years from 2006-09 before Schultz turned things around his last two years.
Marquette went 19-10 in 2009-10 before finishing the 2010-11 season with an 18-10 record. Schultz's most recent team finished with a loss to Hinckley-Big Rock in the Class 1A Hinckley-Big Rock Regional semifinal.
Schultz is a 1975 graduate of Marquette High School. He was a junior on the 1974 Class A runner-up team that saw its run end with a 54-53 loss to Lawrenceville.
He later became the boys basketball coach at St. Columba School for 18 years, which included winning the seventh grade and eighth grade Peoria Diocesan Tournaments in 1999-2000. He was the Marquette sophomore coach for four years before taking over as varsity boys basketball coach.
