CUMBERLAND - Looking back over the last 10 years, natural gas company Gas South president and CEO Kevin Greiner said he has seen a lot of change.
The company, which was acquired by Cobb EMC from Southern Company
in January 2006, has almost doubled its customer base to an estimated 300,000.
It has expanded to Florida and now has a staff of more than 200, compared to the 50 employees in 2006.
said the Cumberland-based company has also seen an increase in Georgia market share from 12.5 percent to more than 20 percent and in giving back, Gas South
has donated more than $3 million to local charities and causes focused on education, cultural arts and human social services.

We always look for ways to enhance the value that we provide to our customers," Greiner
Still a fully-owned subsidiary of Cobb EMC, Gas South
strives to break the mold of the traditional gas provider.

Beyond serving customers, Greiner
said the natural gas company works with nonprofits and organizations like the Cobb Chamber of Commerce
Looking ahead, Greiner
said a major goal of the company is to continue its focus on enhancing customer care.
"We have an unyielding focus on the customer.
