Kerschen, son of Dan and Norene Kerschen, is a 2006 graduate of Garden Plain High School.Throughout high school, Kerschen was a member of SADD, president of the student council, a Scholar's Bowl team member, and was a participant in basketball, drama and the National Honor Society.He worked on his family farm throughout high school milking cows and feeding calves. He is enthusiastic about becoming a teacher and is eager to impact the lives of youth.Kerschen and his family are members of Dairy Farmers of America cooperative.
