Dr. Preiss specializes in entrepreneurial enterprise creation, venture development and corporate/business strategy creation, development and implementation. Born into an entrepreneurial (well-drilling and pump manufacturing) family, he has created and operated many business ventures whilst also holding positions in the corporate world formerly as Director HR Consulting at Coopers & Lybrand W.D.Scott (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Australia). He specializes in innovation and entrepreneurship and business/corporate strategy creation, development and implementation.
Kenneth has consulted to corporations like Siemens (Singapore), Boeing Corp (Melbourne), Henkel (Sydney) Ausdrill (Chile) and ADCO (UAE). He has also conducted Action Planning programs for the IndonesianAustralia Specialized Training Project - Phase II - Intellectual Rights. In addition, he has presented direct-to-air television programs on business strategy development/ implementation, new venture creation and growth, as well as, Management Action Planning.
Kenneth has lectured in organizational behavior, marketing, market research, new product strategy, innovation creation and diffusion, corporate and business strategy development and implementation, as well as, new venture creation, growth and exit at the following business schools: Hochschule Bremen Germany, The University of Melbourne, Victoria University of Technology (Melbourne), Western Sydney University, Central Queensland University, University of Technology (Sydney), Northeastern University, Boston USA and as Professor of Strategy and Director MBA program at the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship, Swinburne University of Technology (Melbourne). At Northeastern, he was an NU panel judge of the coaching team for the Beanpot inter-university case competition and also an occasional panel judge for the Northeastern University $US60,000 entrepreneurial venture competition.
He held the position of Professor of Management, Zayed University Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) and as Principal Researcher for the UAE-Global Entrepreneurship Monitor 2006 and 2007 study. He jointly created the Entrepreneurial Environment Scorecard which rates the entrepreneurial conditions of a nation. As the principal entrepreneurship faculty member at ZU, he was the driving force behind the creation of a Entrepreneurship program where he created a Master of Science (Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship) program to prepare Emirati students for a technologically advanced global environment. He was a regular contributor to the Gulf News.
Most recently Kenneth held the position of Visiting Professor at Clark University, Worcester, MA, USA. Corporate responsibilities include being Chairman of the Corporate Outcomes Group based in Melbourne Australia and is currently expanding the services of COG into the USA.
Kenneth has been ranked 18th in the world in individual productivity in the creation of intellectual capital in the Knowledge Management domain. He is also an award-winning research author. He is a member of the Academy of Management and is a recipient of the Academy of Management (Entrepreneurship Division) Award in recognition of outstanding service to the Academy for International Liaison.
