This award identifies our unit as one of the top 20% of the 633 NJROTC units in the nation. This NJROTC unit has received national recognition for excellence by the U. S. Navy for 17 times over the past 20 years, more than any other NJROTC Unit in our district, state or area. According to Commander Liles, "This is an outstanding achievement by any standard and clearly reinforces the reputation of Thunderbird NJROTC program as one of the best in the nation.
