has focused his
practice in commercial finance, banking and bankruptcy for over thirty years.
has extensive experience in the representation of banks, commercial lenders, factors, and other creditors in the documentation of secured lending, factoring, and other credit transactions, loan workouts, bankruptcy, and creditors' rights.
He was elected as a fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers in 1998 and most recently served as president from 2008 to 2009 after previously holding positions as a member of its Board of Regents, as secretary, and as vice-president.
Mr. Greene is active in many professional and civic organizations including the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys, the Turnaround Management Association, the American Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Association.
He is co-chair of the Legal Opinion Committee of the Business Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and a member of taskforces of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association for the enactment of a model account deposit control agreement and for the enactment of a model first lien, second lien intercreditor agreement.
Mr. Greene was born in Martinsville, Virginia.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Greene
served in the Judge Advocate General Corps
of the United States Navy
from 1970 to 1974.
