Current psycholinguistic work involves: empirical studies and modelling of the nature of lexical access processes (in collaboration with K.I. Forster, University of Arizona); investigations of syntactic parsing processes in reading; studies of modality-specific and format-specific effects on sentence processing; work on plausibility effects and the nature of semantic processing and investigations of production processes using 'sentence priming'.
