, age 71, of Shandon, passed away at home February 24, 2002, following a brief illness.He
was born October 2, 1930, in Reily Township, the son of Ira and Vearl (Cameron) Burns
.After gradating from Ross High School in 1948, he played semi-pro baseball in the Whitewater Valley League.Kenny served as a Corporal in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge in April 1953, after serving two years in Germany.He spent most of his life working in the automotive business and was a co-owner in his own business.
In later years, he
worked as a service writer for Bennett Ford and Kerry Ford.He
was a talented man in music, baseball, art and painting. He
daughter, Dwana (Bill) Wagers of Okeana; two step-sons, Rick (Barbara) Thompson and Norman Thompson of Hamilton; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Eldon of Shandon; one sister, Margie (Glen) Sauerland of Bevis and devoted nieces and nephews.He
was preceded in death by his
son, Mark on February 23, 1985, his
parents and sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Bob Clevenger in 2000.
Funeral service will be held at the Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton-Cleves Road, Ross, Ohio, Thursday, 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society
