Following a 21 year career as a YMCA director, Ken Goebel transitioned into fundraising for higher education in 1995. His YMCA work included fundraising for annual support and capital campaigns and this prepared him well for work at Utica College, Colgate University, The University of Pennsylvania, The University of Connecticut, and now Keene State College. Currently, the focus of the development office at KSC includes building the institution's scholarship and financial aid resources, completing a building campaign, and improving support for academic programs and faculty resources. Ken has a Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY - Cortland and lives in Marlborough, NH with his wife Lorraine. When not on campus, Ken can be found hiking, climbing, skiing or playing golf.

Ken Goebel Ken is the director of development for Keene State College and has worked for University of Connecticut, University of Pennsylvania and Colgate University. Before moving into higher education, he spent 21 years as a YMCA director in upstate New York and in New Hampshire. Ken is active in the Keene Rotary Club and is a board member for the Marlborough School Endowment Fund. He holds a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York College at Cortland. Ken is an avid climber and hiker and often bushwhacks his way up Mount Monadnock from his home in Marlborough.

Kenneth Goebel, Marlborough Following the completion of his degree in education at SUNY Cortland, Ken spent 21 years as a YMCA director in upstate New York and in New Hampshire. His transition from YMCA work to higher education fundraising began in 1994 when a Y campaign volunteer asked him to help raise money for Utica College of Syracuse University, where he was a trustee. Ken has since worked for Colgate University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Connecticut, and now as director of development for Keene State College.
Throughout his work, Ken has maintained a love of the land and an appreciation for the environment. He looks forward to sharing his passion and interest for the Earth through his involvement with the Monadnock Conservancy. Ken is an avid climber and hiker and often bushwhacks his way up Monadnock from his home.

Ken Goebel (Development) and Kim Accorsi (Online Communications) have just completed their first month as directors in Keene State's Advancement Division.

The director of Development is responsible for forming, directing, and implementing a comprehensive development program to advance the College's mission and programs through on-going communication, strategic planning, programming, and fundraising.
Ken comes to Keene State from the University of Connecticut Foundation. After 21 years as a director in YMCA work, he began his higher-ed career at Utica College of Syracuse University and then directed the annual giving programs at Colgate University and the University of Pennsylvania. In 2003, he accepted the position of assistant vice president for annual giving at the University of Connecticut Foundation and finished his work at UConn as the Executive Director of Principal Gifts.
