Keith Manry came to the Belfast United Methodist Church in July of 2002.He
grew up in Canisteo, NY, where he
two brothers and two sisters were homeschooled by their mother.As a teenager he
was actively involved in many events at Family Life Ministries
in Bath New York including Bible Quizzing, Youth Events, and Music Ministry Teams. Following High School he attended Houghton College.
In between his
freshman and sophomore years at Houghton he
met Erica and they were married in February of 1997.In between his
junior and senior year at Houghton he
and Erica moved to Whitesville, NY, where he
began pastoring his
first two churches.Two weeks after moving into the parsonage their first child, Peigh, was born. In July of 1999 Keith graduated from Houghton College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion and began attending United Theological Seminary in the Fall of 1999. In January of 2000 Josiah was born and in July the entire family accepted a new appointment to Springville where Keith began serving as the Associate Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Springville.
In October of 2001 Isaac was born and died of a neuromuscular disorder only seventeen days later.
In July 2002, his
family moved to Belfast to begin their ministry in the Genessee Valley. Keith received his M.Div. degree in May of 2003 and was commissioned for ministry and received into probationary membership of the Western New York Annual Conference in June of 2003.
...Keith has recently begun his Doctor of Ministry studies with Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, MA.He
will be ordained an elder in full connection of the WNY Annual Conference on June 10th, 2007.Keith
enjoys boating, golfing, bowling, and spending time with his
passion is preaching and he
believes that the local church is the hope of the world and that if the church does its job the world can and will be transformed.
