is an experienced with the use of diagnostic and therapeutic injections for relief of back and neck pain.Before coming to Savannah, Dr. Kirby worked at the Central Carolinas Rehabilitation Network in South Carolina.His
duties there included looking after a 32-bed acute rehabilitation unit and a 22-bed sub-acute rehabilitation unit.Dr. Kirby began his career in 1980 as a physical therapist in Illinois.He
soon went back to school to get his
medical degree from The Chicago Medical School
in 1987.After graduation, Dr. Kirby earned his United States Army Flight Surgeon Wings and his career took flight as he was appointed chief of the aviation medical clinic and served as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Army during the Persian Gulf War.His
talent and service in the war were recognized as Dr. Kirby
was presented with the National Defense Metal.In 1992, he
began to work with feet firmly planted on the ground but in an effort just as heroic.He
has received over 1500 hours of emergency medicine experience from his
work at the National Emergency Services, Inc. in Toledo, Ohio and the Spectrum Emergency Care, Inc.
in St. Louis, MO. In May 1994, Dr. Kirby
trained with Dr. Frank Lagutta at the Illinois Spine and Sports Center
in Bloomingdale, Illinois, in the performance of epidural blocks, selective nerve blocks, facet and sacroiliac joint blocks.
