Deputy Chief Keith Burch of the El Paso Fire Department said, "The spill is not enlarging, so we're going to seal up the building and deny entry and now it will be up to the building owner to hire a contractor to come and clean it up."

"We put the fire under control very quickly, however we did do a defensive attack when we first got there because the structure was fully involved," El Paso Fire Department Battalion Chief, Keith Burch, said.
The farm is located on Camino Del Rey off of North Loop Drive. The owner of the structure was on the scene, but the occupants were not. Fire officials believe the home was used to house illegal farm workers who fled the home when the fire began. "We did a search on the inside of the premises. We have no fatalities and no fire fighters that were injured," Burch said. Of the four structures that were on the farm only one was in flames. As the fire burned the electrical wires above the home posed yet another threat. "Right over the top of the structure where the fire was coming out we do have electrical lines. We always shut off utilities to the building involved in the fire to protect us and the occupants from electrical shock," Burch said.
