Survivors include his wife of seven years, Virginia Gouge Painter Berry of Miami; one brother, Joe Berry of Grove; one sister, Mary Jane Reed of Grove; two daughters, Betty Bob Posey and husband Tom of Plano, Texas, and Suzanne Hutchison and husband Dennis of Yukon, Oklahoma; one son, Jim Berry of Austin, Texas; eight grandchildren, Jamie Pena, Lisa Shanks, Justin and Kaya Bay Berry, Dusty and Dillon Edge, and Brandon and Marci Huchison; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts.Berry accepted Christ into his life in 1943.He was ordained a Baptist Deacon in 1954 and served four different churches.He also taught Youth Sunday School and Training Union for many years.He graduated from Grove High School in 1940 and was a veteran of the Army Air Corps in World War II.He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1950, where he was president of Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity.He was a loving, generous, caring man with a wonderful sense of humor.He will be greatly missed.
