United Way of Southwest Minnesota gave recognition to 2011-12 President of the Board of Directors, Kay Ponstein at its recent annual meeting.
Executive Director, Ruth Ascher presented a plaque to Kay and gave her appreciation for her work and effort this past year on behalf of the organization. As president of United Way of Southwest Minnesota, Ponstein was responsible for leading all meetings and for taking part in much of the work of the organization. "Kay cares a great deal about the people of this area," stated Ruth Ascher, Executive Director. "Kay could be counted on to provide leadership for United Way of Southwest Minnesota even though she is very busy with work, family and being an active volunteer with several organizations."
