WAUKEGAN, Ill. (CBS) , There's a surprising twist at the trial of a handyman, accused of murdering a suburban couple worth millions.Tuesday, a juror spoke with CBS 2's north suburban bureau chief Katie McCall, exclusively, just minutes after she was dismissed from the panel.
The juror is now replaced with an alternate after she
told the judge she
could not be impartial because of something she
saw on TV. She
was known as juror 25, until the lunch break Tuesday, when the judge discovered Donna Pitts no longer felt she
could serve on the jury deciding Peter Hommerson's fate. She
just knew she
couldn't be objective.
