Kathryn Chaloner, PhD
Dr. Chaloner serves as a member of the Network of Excellence in Neuroscience Clinical Trials (NeuroNEXT) Data Coordinating Center (DCC) Design Team.
In that role, she
serves as Lead Biostatistician on network protocol working groups, where she
provides biostatistical leadership with respect to design activities and the development of a statistical plan for network proposals.
Dr. Chaloner joined the faculty at the University of Iowa in 2002 as Professor and Head of the Department of Biostatistics, and is also Professor in the Dept. of Statistics and Actuarial Science.Additionally, she serves as Professor and Director of Biostatistics, and Director of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design at the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Iowa.
er methodological research interests include statistical methods for design of clinical studies, and the use of Bayesian statistics in biostatistical problems.
collaborates on a variety of biomedical research areas including infectious diseases, and cystic fibrosis.
also works on the design of clinical trials in islet cell transplantation and neurological diseases.
