Katherine M. Tchorz, MD, Trauma SurgeonKatherine M. Tchorz, MD, joined MVH in 2006 as a Trauma Surgeon.Previous to moving to Dayton she worked as a Staff Surgeon at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and a Staff Surgeon at Veterans Medical Center in Dallas. Dr Tchorz received her medical education starting with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania.She received her Masters degree in Biology from the Division of Human Genetics at George Washington University in Washington DC and her Medical degree from the New Jersey Medical School at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.She

fellowship in Trauma at Emory University School of Medicine at Grady Memorial Hospital
also completed a Surgical Critical Care fellowship at Grady Memorial. Dr Tchorz is board-certified as a Surgeon with additional certification in Surgical Critical Care.She is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Certified ACS Ultrasound Instructor, and an ATLS Instructor.She is currently Associate Professor in Trauma at Wright State University and taught as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in Burn/Trauma/Critical Care at the University of Texas Southwest Medical Center in Dallas.
