Katherine Scheidler, who has been the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Assessment for the Hopkinton, Mass., school system since 1998, will begin working for the Hebron and RHAM Boards of Education on August 4.She
replaces Diana Vecchione, the long-time assistant schools superintendent who announced her retirement earlier this year.

...Prior to her current job in Hopkinton, Scheidler served as the Director of Curriculum and Staff Development for the Southbridge, MA, public schools.She has also served as the English Department Chair for the Providence (RI) public schools, as well as a Clinical Professor in the Education Department at Brown University.Scheidler received her doctorate in education (Ed.D.) in Administration, Training and Policy Studies from Boston University.
In addition, she
has a Certificate of Advanced Study in Administration, Planning and Social Policy from Harvard University
, a Master of Arts in Teaching English (M.A.T.) in English Education from Brown University
, and a bachelor's degree in English and Political Science from The American University.
