19 July 2016: QRAA's Kate Dunk ready to discuss growers' sustainable futures
19 July 2016: QRAA's Kate Dunk ready to discuss growers' sustainable futures "I've always been impressed by Lockyer Valley farmers and their dedication to continually improving the productivity of their operations," Ms Dunk said. Kate will be attending the Horticulture and Innovation Expo to meet producers and discuss how QRAA's loans can help with the purchase or advancement of their operations. "As Client Liaison Officer to the Lockyer Valley and Darling Downs, I'm here to help - I can walk producers through the process and make sure their application captures all the necessary information so QRAA can support them in their endeavours. Don't hesitate to stop by and say hello" said Ms Dunk.

26 May 2016: Darling Downs producers invited to meet QRAA at CRT FarmFest : QRAA

QRAA's Client Liaison Officer for the Darling Downs and Lockyer region, Kate Dunk, along with other Client Liaison Officers will be at Site 25, the Pavilion, from 7 - 9 June, and invites producers to visit and discuss the range of financial assistance available.
"QRAA offers a range of low interest loans for Queensland's primary producers that can improve the productivity of their operations, assist in farm succession, expand their business or assist with drought recovery," Kate said. QRAA's loans currently have interest rates as low as 2.71 per cent and, with no set up fees, no exit fees, no hidden costs and joint lending with your bank available, they are an attractive option for producers looking to improve their farming business. Kate says that many producers in the local region have already experienced the benefits that the low interest loans provide. "To date, more than $8.9 million has been provided to producers in the Darling Downs and Lockyer regions in low interest loans this financial year. This is a considerable financial investment in the region and demonstrates that QRAA is providing lasting benefits for local farm businesses," she said. Producers are urged to not self-assess their own eligibility for the range of loans available, but instead visit Kate at CRT FarmFest to talk about their individual situation and eligibility requirements. "I will be available to discuss loan requirements, terms and conditions and the application process or, if they prefer, producers can make an appointment with me on-farm at a time that suits them," Kate said. 27 January 2016: Innovation pays off for producers in Western Downs : QRAA

QRAA's Client Liaison Officer for the Darling Downs and Lockyer, Kate Dunk, said she is encouraged by the enquiries she has recently received from producers looking at the possibilities for their farming enterprise.
"One of the things I like most about my role as a Client Liaison Officer is seeing producers look for ways to be more sustainable, and then implementing innovative activities to help them achieve that goal," Ms Dunk said. "Some of my clients have used a Sustainability Loan to invest in minimum or zero tillage equipment. An example has been cotton and crop growers using GPS controlled tractors and spray rigs to minimise soil compaction and reduce operating expenses. The flow on effect of better moisture retention and increased nitrogen levels ensures better yields per hectare year in year out." Ms Dunk urged producers in her region to not self asses their eligibility but instead contact her to discuss how individual loans could help their farm businesses. For more information about how a loan from QRAA could assist your farm business, or to make an appointment with Kate on-farm, contact Kate Dunk on Freecall 1800 623 946.
