KARMA SHERPA, Finance Officer, received her BS in Computer Science and Business Administration from Bellevue University in Nebraska.
She holds an MPA with an emphasis in International Relations from San Francisco State University.
When Karma arrived in San Francisco, she worked for a small accounting firm, Major Legal Service, as an Accountant Assistant.
She then worked for a nonprofit as a translator and administrator assistant and volunteered at Hospice, assisting senior citizens.

as a Volunteer Coordinator during her
Prior to coming to the United States, Karma volunteered at Trungram International Academy, a private school, in Kathmandu, Nepal, where she served as Secretary to the Director of the school.
From 2008-2009, Karma
provided financial consulting services to Bay Area businesses.
In July 2010, she
spearheaded the founding of a California-based nonprofit, California Sherpa Association
She currently serves on the board and is the Treasurer of the Association, helping with the development of organizational budgets and quarterly financial reports.
Born in Kathmandu and raised in Sikkim, a northeastern state of India, Karma
speaks five languages: English, Hindi, Sherpa
, Nepali and Tibetan.
