Karen was born and raised in Galveston, Texas, the last of five generations of strong, proud women who were also born there.
role as mother and grandmother, she
considers it a priority to teach her
children the importance of creating their own unique spiritual journeys.
She has a Masters Degree in Social Work and has worked as a studio artist for the past 15 years in the medium of contemporary textile art.
As of May, 2010, Karen
has returned to her
family home in Texas, near Galveston, in Lake Jackson, Texas.
is enjoying her
role as daughter, mother, wife and grandmother.
She is continuing her spiritual path by studying with Wisdom University, based in Oakland, California, working toward a Masters Degree in Arts and Healing.
The pursuit of this degree allows her
to incorporate her
prose, poetry and contemporary art quilts as her
responses to the curriculum.
