This year I began to wonder why I was not getting any of their surveys, and when I questioned Karen, she told me I was 'not a member' and until I was selected to become a member, I could not take their surveys!!
When I emailed her
back to tell her
my log in info, and give her
all the registration information that I had used 5 years ago to sign up with them, she
told me they "HAD NO RECORD" of my being with the panel! (Sure was news to me since I had been cashing their checks to me!)
Upon contacting Karen Scott
stated that the rate was researched and deemed a fair market rate.I've
noticed over the years that some surveys are quite a bit longer than others, and that some try to get you to survey more than one product in a survey.Since we would not accept NO wage increase in five years, and certainly Ms. Scott
would not go five years without increasing her
rates, I'm sure that Pinecone panelists are being underpaid.Even a 3% cost-of-living would only have increased the survey fee to just over $5.60.
I had to contact Karen Scott
once, and her
response was swift and resolved the issue immediately.I recommend this site to everyone.

as soon as I was able, explained my situation.She
was thankful that I called and my account was ok with Pinecone
But please know that the company (and Karen Scott) have a MAJOR "Jekyll and Hyde
" complex going on.They're good to you only until they decide to clear out their database because you've been a member too long.Then they become very severe and unfriendly, telling you LIES about why you were removed from the panel.
I hate calling anyone a liar, but Karen
refused to substantiate her
claim with evidence that I truly submitted a disqualifying answer in a survey.
And if you knew the uncompassionate, disrespectful way Karen
treated me, well, you'd be shocked.I saved the emails as proof.If a retail sales clerk treated customers that way, the clerk would be FIRED.I've
never had such poor treatment in my life; Karen
seems to believe people are "guilty until proven innocent" and she
certainly doesn't believe in giving people second chances.She
also doesn't give a flying fig about good PR and goodwill.Truly awful!
I recieved another timely response in the same day (response time again -execellent)from Karen
.The email was very polite (customer service skills - execellent) and eplained why they could not reinstate me (detailed explanation - Great)here is the bulk of the email she
sent in response:
It's the only thing I can think of, since I, too, wrote Karen
and received the same generic replies others have.
And then they (or Karen) were totally unhelpful and didn't even want to hear my friends side of the story when she
tried to nicely explain it.
...Never a complaint, the owner (Karen) responds quickly if I ever have any questions/problems (only once in 2 years).
...All of this, and MORE, describes the unjust, unfair way I have been treated by Pinecone Research and its representative Karen Scott.
I was TERMINATED from the panel with no notice, no explanation, no goodbye.I had to email THEM to ask what happened!And then, to my surprise, I was told that I did something I know I never did!Karen
has every right to disagree with what I've
said and am saying, but I am not engaging in slander, because what I speak is the truth.
You'll see I'm definitely not the idiot or the crook Karen
seems to think I am. :)
