Dr. Karen Russell, DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVP (Clinical Pathology)
Dr. Karen Russell is a graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.
She completed an internship and residency training in clinical pathology at Kansas State University and Cornell University, respectively and received her PhD from North Carolina State University.
She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (Clinical Pathology) and an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University.
Karen is the Director of the Clinical Pathology Laboratory at TAMU, Coordinator of the Clinical Pathology Residency Program, and Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Animal Science, Bunda College of Agriculture, Malawi.
She is a member of the American Society of Veterinary Clinical Pathology and serves as Secretary for the organization.
research and professional interests include iron storage disease in birds, hemostasis in companion animals, and tick-borne diseases.
