TANGAIL: Krishak Sramik Janata League president Kader Siddiqui has bitterly criticized the government for its failure to protect the expatriated workers eight of whom were beheaded in Saudi Arabia. The government that has no capability of bringing back home even the dead bodies of Bangladeshi workers should quit, Siddiqui said in a statement on Wednesday. Of the eight Bangladesh workers beheaded in Riyadh last Friday, four hailed from Tangail, the home district of Kader Siddiqui. He visited the bereaved family of beheaded Shafique at Bhatkura Chala of Hateya village in Shakhipur upazila Friday morning and tried to console the wailing parents of Shafique. As he arrived there relatives of Shafique burst into tears while his mother fainted repeatedly. Shafique's father expressed his heart's desire to have a glimpse of the body of his son. In an emotion charged voice, Kader said although the relatives of Shafique broke down in tears the government showed no concern of the tragedy. He wanted to know why the government was not aware about the beheading of eight Bangladeshis in such a way and why the government did not take step to stop it.
