Jusuf Wanandi Dr. Wanandi is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies in Jakarta, which he co-founded. He is also Chairman of the Indonesian National Committee of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council and Co-Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Council for Security Cooperation in the Asia-Pacific. In addition, he is President Director of the Jakarta Post (a national English-language daily) as well as Board Chairman of the Graduate School of Management Prasetiya Mulya and Chairman of the Foundation of Panca Bhakti University in Pontianak. A frequent contributor to the domestic and international press, he has written or edited more than a dozen books including Europe and the Asia Pacific,Security Cooperation in the Asia-Pacific Region, and Asia and the Major Powers.

Jusuf Wanandi is Co-founder and Chairman of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Jakarta, Indonesia's most successful foreign-affairs think tank.
A lawyer by training, Jusuf Wanandi was Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Indonesia, Jakarta, and has served in various national and international organisations in the course of his career. He has long been Indonesia's best known analyst of Southeast Asian regionalism and the politics and foreign policies of Indonesia and the United States.
He holds leadership positions in the Council for Security Cooperation in the Asia Pacific, the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council, the Prasetiya Mulya Graduate School of Management in Jakarta, and the Foundation of Panca Bhakti University. He heads the company that publishes Indonesia's leading English-language daily, The Jakarta Post.
He has co-authored or co-edited more than a dozen books, including Europe and the Asia Pacific (1998), Security Cooperation in the Asia-Pacific Region (1993), and Asia and the Major Powers (1988). His well-received publications in the US political forum included:

Jusuf Wanandi is a Member of the Board of Directors and a Senior Fellow of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Jakarta, Indonesia. He is also the Chairman of the Indonesian National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (INCPEC), a Co-Chair and Member of the Steering Committee of the Council for Security and Cooperation in the Asia Pacific (CSCAP) Indonesia, and a Member of the Standing Committee of PECC. In addition, Mr. Wanandi is the President Director of the publishing company of The Jakarta Post, a daily newspaper. He has served as the Secretary of the Indonesian Supreme Advisory Council, the Secretary General of the National Education Council, and as a four-term representative in the People's Consultative Assembly. He was active in the Golkar Party between 1979 and 1998. A lawyer by training, Mr. Wanandi has been an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Indonesia and has written extensively for international magazines and newspapers.
