Julie Sharbutt Born and raised in New York, Julie is an actor, writer, and producer, and a regular performer at UCB in the monthly show GRAVID WATER. She attended Vanderbilt University (BA) where she performed with local Nashville improv groups Tonguencheek and The Patron Saints. Upon returning to New York, she studied and performed improv and sketch at the UCBT, including her co-written shows The Goods Are Odd (UCBT/NY Int. Fringe Festival), Seriously Extremely Important, White Shirts and Jeans, and Lawyer/Actress. She recently graduated from the NYU Graduate Acting Program (MFA) where she wrote a number of shows, Charity and From Little Cecily, and the improv show Chekprov, in addition to acting in many favorite productions there including The Importance of Being Earnest (dir. Sam Gold), The Clean House, La Ronde, Picnic, and many others. You may have seen her since in Shakespeare in the Parks "Twelfth Night" where she understudied Anne Hathaway. She has performed and done workshops and readings at Naked Angels, Red Bull Theater, The Public Theater, Young Playwrights Inc, New York Theater Workshop, the 52nd Street Project, and others in New York, and The Williamstown Theatre Festival, Portland Stage, Georgia Theatre Festival, Richmond Theatre Ensemble, and others regionally. Julie Sharbutt (Phoebe) is an actor, writer, and comedian based in her native New York. A graduate of Vanderbilt University (BA) and NYU's Graduate Acting Program (MFA), theater credits include The Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park, New York Theater Workshop, Red Bull Theater Company, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Georgia Shakespeare Festival, Portland Stage and many others. She has studied and performs improvisational and sketch comedy regularly at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and Peoples Improv Theater. Television credits include a recurring role as "Stacie" on The Good Wife and Person of Interest. Feature film credits include Moved, which she wrote and directed, Maladies (SXSW 2013), The Weekend, The Last Day of August, and True Story. Julie has appeared in many commercials and webseries, volunteers with kids at New York's 52nd Street Project, and has voiced characters in the popular Red Dead Redemption video game. As a writer Julie has written a number of comedy shows including Admazons and the popular The Goods are Odd, and her feature film Smart Girls is currently in development with Beech Hill Films.

Born and raised in New York City, Julie is a regular performer at UCB in GRAVID WATER. She has performed at The Williamstown Theatre Festival and Georgia Shakespeare Festival, appeared in a number of NYU Graduate Film School student films, and has participated in readings for Naked Angels, The Public Theater, Young Playwrights, Richmond Theater Ensemble, and others.
Oh, and she played a young woman who has a transcendental moment with a tissue in the recent "Touch, Touch, Feel" Kleenex campaign. She would like to thank Kleenex for putting her through grad school.
