Dr. Mai graduated from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine (TUCOM) after earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from University of California at San Diego (UCSD). During her medical education, she strengthened her osteopathic skills by working with well-known and experienced osteopaths such as Dr. Hugh Ettlinger, Director of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Residency at St. Barnabus Hospital NY. She has earned many awards and scholarships for her dedication to osteopathy. Among those distinctions, she was a medalist of the A. Hollis Wolf Case Presentation and awarded twice the Vicki E. Dyson Scholarship for her work with Osteopathic Physicians.
Dr. Mai completed her traditional internship at Chino Valley Medical Center. After her internship, she worked as an assistant to Dr. Viola Frymann and her pediatric patients at the Osteopathic Center for Children & Families. She has also attended and taught at Dr. Frymann's numerous courses to osteopathic physicians and osteopathic medical students.
Dr. Mai holds a Certification of Proficiency from the Osteopathic Cranial Academy. She also received a Diploma in Clinical Homeopathy from the CEDH (Center for Education & Development of Clinical Homeopathy). She is also an Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of OMM at Touro University.
She is a member of the American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO), The Cranial Academy, American Osteopathic Association (AOA), and San Diego Osteopathic Medical Association (SDOMA).
