About Julian H. Burns
After three decades of service, Major General Julian "JB" Burns, USA (Ret), joined BAE Systems
(USA) as Vice President of Defense Affairs.
MG Burns served in the United States, Korea, Europe, the Balkans, Israel, and the Arabian Peninsula.
last served as Commanding General of a Joint Task Force in Operation Desert Fox in Israel; and as G3/5-Chief of Staff/Deputy Commanding General of FORSCOM.
Since joining BAE Systems, Burns has security markets in the United States and abroad, with a scope ranging from all the guns for the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, and Army; all the tracked vehicles in the Army and Marines except the tank; to medium, light and mine protected (MRAP) tactical vehicles.
Burns holds a Bachelor's Degree from West Point as a Cavalry Officer, with Airborne-Ranger qualifications; and a Master's Degree in ORSA/Systems Management from the University of Southern California.
He is also a graduate of the Army War College.
An avid athlete and sportsman, Major Burns is active in numerous organizations including the Carabao, the Cincinnati, and the TRURO Parish
He is also a pro bono member of the OSD WSAR and the TFBSO group in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Professionally, Major Burns is a published author, former Executive Assistant to two Chairmen of the Joint Chief of Staff and Executive to the Army Chief of Staff.
