Jules Aaron is the Director of "GARBO …the Musical. In August 2003, Jules signed an agreement with producer Richard D. Kaye to develop and direct "GARBO …the Musical" for stage presentation.
Jules is the recipient of 18 Drama-Logue Awards, three Los Angeles Drama Critics nominations (and a 1993 win for Equus), three Garland Awards, twelve Inland Drama Critics Awards, one L.A. Weekly Award and five Dean Goodman Awards. He has directed over 200 productions (including 25 musicals) off- and off-off Broadway, in regional theatres and for public television.
Jules has directed frequently at the Public Theatre in New York, Actors' Theatre of Louisville, South Coast Repertory, The Pasadena Playhouse, New Mexico Repertory, Los Angeles Theatre Center, La Mirada Theatre of the Performing Arts, International City Theatre Long Beach and the Philadelphia Theatre Company. Most recently, Jules directed Jesus' Kid Brother at the Hudson Main Stage, All My Sons at La Mirada Theatre of the Performing Arts, The Fourth Wall at TheatreWorks, and Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, in Denver, Colorado.
Other shows directed by Jules Aaron include the all-star production of To Kill A Mockingbird with Bruce Davison, Carrie Snodgress, Zelda Rubinstein and Lisa Pelikan, Same Time Next Year with Jane Carr and John Vickery, and Death of a Salesman with Richard Herd, Jason Brooks, Peter Barton and Bernie Koppel, Hard Copy with Sam Harris, Mary Me A Little at South Coast Repertory, a national tour of Zorba, a tour of The Goodbye Girl with Debbie Shapiro Gravitte and Gary Sandy, two productions of the new Company at Laguna Playhouse (LADC Nomination) and at West Coast Ensemble, Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde , and the world premiere of The Eleventh.
