Posted by: Jeff In a world lacking role models, Jule Huffman made a tremendous impact on my young life and helped shape and influence that I am today. His focus on manners is sorely needed today as children are often being subjected to negative influences and are often left to themselves.I count myself fortunate to have met him and I always watched him growing up.He mentioned in his interview about the children being special.Well, he made our young lives worthwhile too.I am glad to know he is staying active.
Museum to honor local broadcasters

One of the inductees is 82-year-old Jule Huffman, who is retired from WSAZ Channel 3 and perhaps is better known to generations of former children as Mr. Cartoon.
"I'm very, very proud and honored," Huffman said Friday."I didn't expect anything like that."
Huffman was in broadcasting for nearly a half-century.
"I loved every minute of it," he said."There's nothing else I could have done with any success."
Huffman said selling insurance would have been boring and he didn't have intelligence superior enough to be a doctor.
"But I had a voice," he said.
