Dr. Judith Sosbee Prince, Vice Chancellor, USC Upstate Dr. Prince has been devoted professional and personal time and energy to improving the quality of life of women, to advancing women into leadership positions in their careers, and to motivating women to achieve the highest levels of education for over 30 years. Dr. Prince as Vice Chancellor of USC Upstate in Greenville chairs several important committees in the Greenville community including Vision 2025 Education Task Force, the Board of Regents for Leadership Development Programs for the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, and Community Service for the Rotary Club of Greenville. In whatever role she is engaged, Prince's passion for the advancement of women serves as the foundation for all initiatives in which she participates.
As chair of Rotary Community Service projects, Prince worked with other Rotarians to implement a Money Smart Program, to educate citizens, especially mothers of children in lowincome child care centers, on money matters: how to avoid debt, how to save money, and how to obtain credit. As Chair of the Board of Regents for Leadership Development Programs, Dr. Prince has focused on inclusion of minorities in leadership development programs, especially minority women.
Perhaps the greatest contribution of Dr. Prince to making a difference in the lives of other women is the extent to which she serves as a role model for all women. Raised on a farm in rural Georgia with limited resources did not stop Prince from being recognized and nurtured by her mentors, like Dean of Women at UofGA, Louise McBee, for her leadership ability.
