Joyce Lapinsky joined Urban Farming in the fall of 2005 as the Program Development Consultant, contributing to the expansion and development of the organization, its vision, programs and strategic alliances and bringing a network of broad based connections and relationships.
also established the organization's presence in Los Angeles with school gardens and continues to expand the diverse palette of California based projects.
Ms. Lapinsky was a principal in creating and managing the multi-faceted Urban Farming Food Chain™ Edible Wall Project, consisting of food producing walls in the Skid Row-Downtown area of Los Angeles and the first project of its kind and scope.
Prior to joining Urban Farming
had been in the entertainment industry for over twenty years, beginning in her
home town of Minneapolis, relocating to New York and on to Los Angeles where she
resides with her
husband, actor/comedian Richard Lewis.
She has an extensive background in music publishing having been at such prestigious companies as Chappell/Intersong, Warner/Chappell, EMI and Zomba/Jive Records.
She also helped build two independent publishing companies and was associate producer for two television specials.
