...Joe joined the administrative team in 2000 after finishing at the Faulkner School in the inner city of Chicago, where he spent a year teaching and developing a mentoring program for its young men.He also spent evenings teaching English at Yeshiva Tiferes, a private Jewish school. In addition to serving as the Director of College Counseling, Joe teaches a course in US Government and Political Science and is the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach.Outside of TP, Joe serves as Past-President of the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling, and regularly lectures on the college process and the value of single sex education. Prior to his tenure with Faulkner, Joe spent three years as the senior director of SCORE!Educational Centers
, where he
developed a secondary school curriculum in math and reading.While there his
experience working students with diagnosed learning disabilities was both rewarding and educational.Joe graduated from Bates College in 1996 with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Education.
While at Bates Joe served as a Resident Advisor, Admissions Coordinator, and was a three year starter for the varsity lacrosse team.
During the summer months Joe
plays lacrosse for the A.L.L and is the holder of a 100-ton Masters' License from the US Coast Guard
also works for several New England area Lacrosse Camps and co-coordinates a college program for inner city youth.This summer Joe
is also working on his
Master's Degree in Educational Leadership.He enjoys hiking, weight training, and is an avid golferJoe
