Joseph P. Tarris, P.E.Mr. Tarris is the Vice President of the firm.His
efforts are focused on the forensic engineering efforts of the firm as well as providing his
expertise to the highway/traffic engineering services of the firm.Holding both a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, his professional interests include roadway design and operation, roadway and roadside safety, and forensic engineering, specifically, motor vehicle accident reconstruction.Mr. Tarris is a registered Professional Engineer and an Accredited Traffic Accident Reconstructionist.
Over the last twelve-years, Mr. Tarris
has performed a forensic analysis of over 700 motor vehicle accidents.He
has testified in both Federal and State courts.Mr. Tarris
holds memberships in the Institute of Transportation Engineers
and their Expert Witness Council, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Academy of Forensic Engineers, and the Society of Automotive Engineers
.Since 1995, Mr. Tarris
has been a panel participant in the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) project, In-Service Performance of Traffic Barriers.
