addressed the audience letting them know that all those serving in the military are not only in Iraq and the Middle East, but throughout the world.Soldiers serve in Alaska, Hawaii, Kansas, anywhere they are needed. "They are scattered all across the world," Rocconi
said."All are away from home, and family and friends." He
expressed that a postcard means a lot to a soldier who is hundreds or thousands of miles away from home.He
encouraged anyone who knows of someone serving in the military to send them a letter or an e-mail. "Many of the soldiers are working 10-, 12- and 14-hour days and would be glad to hear from you," he
said. During the assembly, the top five winners of the Boyce-Woods Post 3141 Auxiliary essay contest with the topic, "My Dream For America," were announced by Kathye Mashek, president of Boyce-Woods Post 3141 Auxiliary of Dardanelle
