We've invited a couple of experts - Joseph Pechmann, Professor of Biology at Western Carolina University, and Patrick Brannon, Director of Highlands Research Center in Highlands, NC - to tell all.
Professor Pechmann also has an extensive background in the study of salamanders. He has a Ph.D. in Zoology from Duke University, a M.S. in Zoology from University of Georgia and a B.A. in Biology from Hamilton College. He is now Associate Professor of Biology at Western Carolina University. He writes extensively and presents at herpetological and ichthyological conferences.
