Autobiographies : Joseph ATRT Group : G - JJoseph A. was born in 1946 in a US Army Hospital near Nuremberg , Germany.He was the first Jewish child born in an area previously Judenrein , to parents who met , were married in , and survived the Warsaw Ghetto , and the Poniatow concentration camp.Joseph's parents hid in the ruins of the Ghetto , until the liberation of Russia in January , 1945After liberation , Joseph A.'s family arrived at Ellis Island in New York City.Joseph was educated in New York public schools and then went on to attend Columbia University , majoring in Oriental Studies.Joseph A. then went on to Harvard Medical School where he has remained for most of his professional career.He has published articles in the areas of substance abuse , self-help aspects of psychotherapy , and intergenerational consequences of trauma.For ten years , Joseph A. was the Chairperson for Intergenerational Aspects of Trauma for the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies.Joseph A. is also a past President of One Generation After , Boston's organization for children of Holocaust Survivors.Joseph A. is also a member of the Founders and Executive Committees of The New England Holocaust Memorial.Joseph A. is the current Treasurer of this organization , To Reflect and Trust , Inc.Joseph A. is also a poet and lyricist , is married and has three children , ages 20 - 29.
