Jos Luhukay, PhD
Jos Luhukay left his academic career and joined Bank Niaga as CIO in 1989.
He led the bank's development into the first fully on-line financial institution in Indonesia and developed policy manuals which stipulated governance guidelines and policies.
last executive position in 1994 was as Senior Vice President of Systems & Operations, and a member of the Bank's Advisory Committee until 1995.
He then joined Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia, a government owned investment bank as COO, and subsequently, until 1997 the Executive Director of Capital Market Society of Indonesia.
He was then appointed by the Government of Indonesia as COO of the Jakarta Initiative Task Force, a unit set up to mediate private sector debt restructuring, funded by GOI and the World Bank.

was handling a portfolio with a total debt outstanding of not less than US$ 1.3 billion.

Jos joined Ernst & Young in 2000 as Partner of its Business Risk Consulting Division, which provided services in corporate governance, risk management, information systems audit and advisory, internal audit and policy operational progress development.
Among the assignments handled was providing Bank Indonesia with training for its supervisors and inspectors on post-crisis banking risk management.
He was appointed as President Director of PT. Bank Lippo Tbk in 2003 and during his tenure Bank Lippo underwent a thorough change in governance and performance, resulting in much improved profitability.
Bank Lippo achieved the lowest cost-of-fund in Indonesia, mainly through a successful drive for payment services.
In 2004 the Bank produced record profits among its numerous award-winning performance.
Jos Luhukay was named Best CEO in 2006 by SWA, a leading business magazine.
In 2006 Jos joined IndoConsult, the precursor of Arghajata Consulting, as Partner.
In that year he was also appointed executive member of the National Council on Information and Communication Technologies, an advisory body advising the President of Indonesia in policy and strategy matters.
In 2008 he became Deputy President Director of Bank Danamon where he spearheaded the formation of Danamon Corporate University, in addition to being in charge of Corporate Communications, Corporate Banking, Human Resources, Operations Excellence and Public Affairs.
Jos also manages 7 Regional Corporate Officers and the more than 40 Branch Corporate Officers located throughout Indonesia.
He currently serves as Partner in Arghajata Consulting, specializing among others in Corporate Governance, Financial Industry and Information & Communications Technologies.

in Indonesia, an integrated Electronic Medical Records Service for the country, a National Internship Program, and an Indonesian Financial Service Academy
Jos holds an Engineer degree in electrical engineering from the University of Indonesia, and a Masters and PhD in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
